I'm very new to video and was wondering what the best capture software is. I have a Mac and was thinking of buying Final Cut Pro, would this be a good solution?

This can be answered several ways. If you have a Mac and iMovie is too simple for you then I might suggest Final Cut Express. This program is great for DV owners who need something better than iMovie but not as strong as Final Cut Pro.
